FIA, NAB taking action against corrupt elements: Mohsin

ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha has said Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) have been taking action against corrupt elements across the board to ensure transparency among all the institutions.

“The government launched the operation in Karachi in evolving consensus among all the political parties to restore peace in the metropolitan city,” he said while talking to PTV.

He said the paramilitary forces were taking indiscriminate action against the elements involved in target killings, terrorism and extortion.

“The operation is not against any political party rather it is to cleanse the city of target killers, terrorists, extortionists as well as their collaborators and handlers,” he added.

Mohsin Ranjha said law and order in Karachi was improving due to ongoing operation, adding that it was beneficial for business activities and also providing relief to the masses to live in peaceful environment.

To a question, he urged Sindh government to improve the governance and work for the speedy progress and betterment of the masses of the province.
