FIA raids factory involved in electricity theft
LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raided in Allama Iqbal Town and found an embroidery factory involved in theft of electricity of millions of rupees.
According to Deputy Director FIA Khwaja Hammad a raid under the supervision of Additional Director Syed Fareed Ali . The FIA team includes Nasir Awan Inspector, Abdul Qayyum Inspector, Ashiq Assistant Sub Inspector at Badar Block Allama Iqbal Town and caught electricity theft through tampered meters.
Four tampered meters were disconnected for data download to detect electricity theft. FIR No 48/16 registered against consumer Waqas, Naveed, Abdul Majeed and LESCO employees namely Abdul Majeed meter inspector and Abdul Shakoor meter reader.
FIA spokesperson told that efforts are underway to arrest the main accused who are involved in this electricity theft of millions of rupees.
