FIA scrutinising travel agents running business of study visas in Gujranwala

SIALKOT: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started scrutiny of the travel agents also doing business of providing the study visas of different countries to their clients in Gujranwala.

According to the Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala Division, Malik Sikandar Hayyat that this step has been taken on the directions of Federal Interior Ministry after the Axact Company case, as the interior minister has directed to take the stern legal action against all the travel agents which were providing the study visas facilities of the several European countries without the approval of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

The FIA teams were also checking the licenses of the travel agents. He said that the FIA has made all the travel agents bound to provide FIA all the details of the people doing business of study visas in the region.

FIA teams are collecting the data of all those travel agents which are also doing the business of providing foreign study visas without the approval of HEC, besides, getting the details of their accounts in different banks as well, he added.
