FIA stops Rao Anwar from fleeing country

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) stopped former Senior Superintendent Police Rao Anwar from fleeing the country early Tuesday morning at Benazir International Airport, Rawalpindi.

He was barred from leaving the country by FIA, as he is involved in an ongoing investigation against him regarding the‘extrajudicial murder’ of Naqeebullah Mehsud. Anwar was stopped from boarding an international flight, however, was not taken into custody and was allowed to leave the airport.
