LAHORE: In wake of a leasing scandal in Pakistan International Airline (PIA), the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to probe into high-ups of the national flag carrier.
According to a senior Interior Ministry official, the FIA has sought permission to investigate the top management of PIA for their alleged role in the lease process.
The FIA is investigating the lease of PIA Aircraft Airbus A-320 and A-330 to ascertain alleged role of the management in the ongoing enquiry. Sources alleged that the PIA management has been giving cold shoulder response to certain queries of FIA investigators.
The PIA management so far couldn’t share certain record which is very important to conclude the enquiry, the sources added.
