FIA’s crackdown on human trafficking continues

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in its countrywide crackdown against human trafficking, has arrested seven human traffickers and one proclaimed offender, Huqdar Husain during a raid in Taxila.

As per directives of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the FIA has formed raiding teams which raid human trafficking rings in Rawalpindi and other areas, while acting on actionable intelligence.

Official sources have said FIA also off-loaded some passengers from Islamabad airport. The arrested suspects, including Adnan Hussain, Shah, Naveed Akram, Bilal Hussain, Umair Iqbal, Anum Masih, were travelling to UAE on visit visa. They were off-loaded for not having hotel booking/insufficient funds.

Jahangir Khan and Amjad Ali from Nowshera and Azam from Rawalpindi were travelling to Japan by TK-711 to participate Shotokan but they were off-loaded for not having prior approval by Pakistan Sports Board.
