MUMBAI: Fiat India is all set to launch their latest installment in the hatchback segment, Fiat Abarth Punto today. The new Fiat Abarth Punto will come under the Rs 10 lakh bracket and will rival the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and TDi models in India. Fiat India have already started the pre-bookings of the Abarth Punto for Rs 50,000.

The new Fiat Abarth Punto will be powered by a 1.4-litre T-jet petrol engine churning out peak power of 145bhp and peak torque of 212Nm, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Also, the new Fiat Abarth Punto will go from 0-100 km/hr in just 8.8 seconds.

Moreover, the new Fiat Abarth Punto is the fastest car in its segment, with Fiat India claiming a fuel efficiency of 16.3km/l for the hottest hatch.

The new Fiat Abarth Punto comes with 16 inch Abarth alloy wheels with a ground clearance of 155 mm and a boot space of 280 litres.

That’s not all. We had earlier reported that Fiat India has a surprise in store for the Indian customers. IF reports are true, then Fiat India could also be launching the Fiat Abarth Avventura along with the Fiat Abarth Punto today.

The festive season has already started and with two launches at the same day, it will surely be a big thing for the company.
