Finance Minister lauds Chinese investment in power sector

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb and Power Minister Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari jointly held a meeting with the delegation of Port Qasim Electric Power Company led by CEO Liang in Islamabad today.

On this occasion, the Finance Minister welcomed the suggestions made by the delegation and said that government acknowledges and appreciates the investment made by PQEPC China and other Chinese companies in the power sector of Pakistan.

The delegation was told that Finance and Energy Ministers both would continue to coordinate with the stakeholders to find and implement sustainable solutions to the power sector issues.

The delegation emphasized that Power China, is a major state-owned Chinese enterprise and key investor in Pakistan’s energy market. The company would continue to work with the Government of Pakistan and play its role in the improvement of Power sector.
