Finance Minister lauds PM’s Youth Programme

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb here on Monday appreciated Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, recognizing it as a valuable scheme for supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

During a meeting with the Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, the minister expressed support for the initiative, highlighting its role in stimulating entrepreneurial activity and contributing to economic growth.

Earlier Rana Mashhood provided an overview of the Prime Minister’s Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme. The scheme promotes entrepreneurship among youth by providing business loans on simple terms and with less markup through Commercial, Islamic and SME banks.

The discussion covered the current structure of the scheme, including its three operational tiers, and explored the potential benefits and logistics of introducing additional tiers.
