HELSINKI: Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower. At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.60%. The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 1.02% or 0.37 points to trade at 36.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) added 0.82% or 0.12 points to end at 14.84 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 0.60% or 0.0500 points to 8.3700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 3.26% or 1.11 points to trade at 32.89 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 2.62% or 0.280 points to end at 10.410 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 2.03% or 0.16 points to 7.74. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 89 to 49 and 16 ended unchanged. Shares in Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.02% or 0.37 to 36.64. Brent oil for March delivery was down 2.77% or 1.58 to $55.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 2.82% or 1.52 to hit $52.47 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.81% or 9.55 to trade at $1182.95 a troy ounce. EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.0565, while EUR/GBP rose 1.35% to 0.8691. The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 102.00.
