HELSINKI: Finnish log house manufacturer Honkarakenne has received an order for 47 log houses to be delivered to a holiday resort in Kenya. The value of the order is three million euros. The houses are set to be delivered this year.
Since commencing operations in 1958, Honkarakenne has delivered over 80 000 houses in over 50 countries. Headquartered in Tuusula, Finland, the company sources wood locally. All of its log houses are manufactured in Finland and approximately 60 per cent of its sales come from abroad.
Known as a global icon of log construction, the company was also the world’s first log house builder to gain the right to use the CE certification mark in accordance with ETA (European Technical Approval).
