Fire doused at banking court building

LAHORE: Firefighters have doused the fire that broke out at Banking Court Lahore’s building, damaging the court records as it spread to judges’ rooms on Thursday.

According to sources, chambers and rooms of the judges came under the blaze, burning important records however no loss of life occurred, as the judges and the staff of the court was successfully evacuated

The fire brigade vehicles after getting the information reached the spot and doused the fire, cooling of the building was underway.

According to the rescue sources, the fire erupted due to a short circuit in the court’s building, however, the investigation is underway in this regard to unveil the facts.

Earlier this month, firefighters had successfully doused the blaze erupted at the sixth floor of Prime Minister Secretariat building, located at Constitution Avenue in Islamabad.

After the eruption of fire, five vehicles of the fire brigade had commenced activities after arriving in at the building, which serves as the headquarters for the cabinet and Government of Pakistan. The fire eruption was caused by a ‘short circuit’, officials said. A skylift was also brought to the building, whereas, officials of Wapda and SSGC were also summoned.
