KARACHI: A 2-ton shipment of Pakistani mangoes, the first to reach Xinjiang, China, this year, has cleared customs and entered markets in Kashgar and Korla, adding fresh imported fruit supplies to the region. The mangoes entered Xinjiang through a land port between China and Pakistan.
To ensure fruit quality during transportation, customs introduced a dedicated clearance process. This included advance coordination with enterprises, guidance on preparing declaration documents, and communication with Pakistani customs on transport updates.
On May 12, 2026, Pakistani agricultural authorities and industry representatives discussed the mango export season and measures to promote overseas sales, focusing on improving export channels and reaching more international markets.
In July 2026, the Pakistan-China Silk Road Mango Festival 2026 was held in Beijing.
Chinese and Pakistani enterprises exchanged views on mango trade and logistics, and signed cooperation documents aimed at expanding market opportunities for Pakistani mango products in China.
