KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, diesel oil and edible oil berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, project cargo and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours, port sources said Wednesday.
Berth occupancy was only 45% at the port on Wednesday where five ships namely MS Mandraki, RDO Concord, Fowairet, Al Salam II and Polaris are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, diesel oil and edible oil respectively.
A cargo volume of 73541 tons comprising 42482 tons imports and 31059 tons exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2621 containers were handled at the port during the last 24 hours.
