The Advisory Council met for their annual meeting, breaking up into 14 separate committees for each of the college’s technical programs.

The members of  the council advise the Chipola faculty on the development, evaluation, and revision of educational programs.

The President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce spoke with the advisors on how they can better the Chipola region for the future.

“So when we talk about securing the future of the Chipola region. We talk about needing to create 3000 more jobs over the next 15 years. We talk about getting our kids excited about staying here in the region, and about the incredible opportunities the college presents,” Florida Chamber of Commerce President Mark Wilson said.

After the meeting with Wilson, the advisors met with their respective committees to talk with professors about what is being required in the workforce fields today.
