LONDON: Windows 10 will be introduced on July 29, according to an official announcement from Microsoft. For users running genuine Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 versions, the upgrade is free.
But those on pirated version of the OS will have to shell out $119 for the Home version and $199 for Windows 10 Professional, which is around Rs 8,000 and Rs 12,000 respectively.
So what will be the minimum system requirements for a Windows 10 update? We take a quick look along with the applications that will get removed in Windows.
Specifications
The minimum requirements have been put out by Microsoft on its website. For starters, you will need the latest version of either Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 update.
On the technical side, you will need a computer/laptop or mobile with a minimum 1Ghz or faster processor SoC, 1 GB RAM for 32GB bit OS and 2GB RAM for 64-bit OS. Users will also need a minimum of 16 GB space on 32 bit OS and 20 GB space on 64-bit OS.
