Foreign exchange reserves fall by $169m to $17.228b

KARACHI: Foreign exchange reserves fell by $169 million to $17.228 billion by week ended April 05, 2019 as compared with $17.397 billion a week ago, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Thursday.

The reserves held by SBP declined by $226 million to $10.272 billion by week ended April 5, 2019 as compared with $10.492 billion a week ago. The SBP said that the official reserves of the central bank were declined due to external debt servicing and other official payment.
