ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador at Large and Prime Minister’s Special Envoy Javed Malik is leading another seven-member investors’ delegation to Pakistan which comprises European and American companies with a view to setup three 2000 megawatt power projects in the country.
The delegation spent a busy day here and met the regulators and other concerned officials with a view to taking forward the project, a statement issued here Tuesday said.
The delegation would also meet Minister of Water and Power and senior officials at the Ministry to give them a detailed presentation of their investment plans to address domestic energy shortage.
Speaking about the visit Ambassador Javed Malik said that “we are working hard to reach out to the international business community and encourage them to invest in Pakistan, and this seven-member delegation comprises serious investors who have shown a keen interest in Pakistan’s energy sector”.
The delegation, he said, was comprising senior officials of American Ethane has expressed a serious interest in setting up three 2000 megawatt power projects, by bringing latest technology of turbines.
They have also confirmed their intentions to establish their own terminals and all required infrastructure to execute the project, he added
