KARACHI: The country’s foreign exchange reserves have decreased by $335 million to $21.266 billion in the week ended on June 3 as compared to $21.601 in the preceding week, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said.
During the week, the reserves held by the central bank decreased $344 million to $16.46 billion as compared to $16.807 billion in the previous week.
The SBP attributed the fall in reserves to payments of $374 million on account of external debt servicing and other official payments. The reserves held by banks increased $10 million to $4.804 billion from $4.794 billion.
