ISLAMABAD – Four robbers made of cash and valuables worth over Rs30 million from the house of Wasim Sajjad, a former Senate chairman.
The robbers looted foreign and local currency worth over Rs20 million, 150 tola gold ornaments, six costly watches and two mobile phones. The armed men entered the house situated at Shahzad Town at around 3am by cutting the window frame of his room, police said. They held Mr Sajjad, his wife and other family members at gunpoint while three of the robbers were armed with 9mm pistols and the fourth was holding a dagger, the police added.
The registered a case on the complaint of Mr Sajjad’s son Ali Hassan Sajjad. He said two of the armed men looted the valuables while the other two watched the family members.
