Formigli Joins advisory board of Norway’s energy Ventures

OSLO: Stavanger, Norway-based private-equity firm Energy Ventures appointed Jose Formigli to its advisory board. He has worked in management for the Campos Basin and in E&P executive management, the company said Aug. 13.

Formigli has more than 30 years’ experience in Brazilian upstream sector well construction, subsea and topsides engineering. In 2014 he retired from Petrobras, and had been a member of Petrobras’ executive board.

Formigli graduated from the Instituto Militar de Engenharia- Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, Energy Ventures said. He has a master’s of business administration degree from UFRJ/COPPEAD in Rio de Janeiro.

Formigli is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Society for Underwater Technology from U.K., the firm added. He also consults for the industry through his engineering company, Forsea Engenharia.
