Four customs officials to return home from USA tomorrow

ISLAMABAD The team of four senior Customs officials are scheduled to return home from USA on October 02 Sunday (tomorrow).

The  team of four senior Customs officials comprising Dr Arslan Subactageen Collector Islamabad, Dr. Zulfiqar Youngsters Collector Preventive Laborers, Irfan ur Rehman Director Intelligence & Investigation Customs Quetta and Abdul Waheed Marwat Additional Director Intelligence and Investigation Customs Headquarters Islamabad are on a visit to San Diego USA for seven days.

The team has been selected by FBR keeping in view the experience and service profile of these officers. Two serving collectors and two officers from Customs Intelligence have been nominated.

This study tour has been fully funded program by US embassy. The aim of this program was to visit and study Customs Border Management of US Customs and Border Agency. This team during their visit has interacted with Department of Homeland Security Investigation and US Customs & Immigration Departments. They had visit US-Mexico Border Point in San Diego and inspect the clearance of Cargo and passengers facilitation.

Further they attended briefings on Customs Border Management at different offices of US Customs. The team has also visit practical demonstration of US Customs in the sea. US Customs Speed Boats participated in this exercise.
