Four NDP & offending vehicles impounded by ASO Islamabad during first week of January

ISLAMABAD: The Customs ASO Islamabad took into possession four NDP and offending vehicles worth Rs6.470million during first week of January of Fiscal Year 2017-18.

According to details explained by Majid Hussain Gadd, Assistant Collector, Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Islamabad, that the ASO Islamabad, under the guidelines of Saeed Khan Jadoon, showed satisfactory performance during first week of January FY17-18.
The ASO impounded one offending vehicle (vehicle carrying smuggling goods) valued at Rs0.8million while it did three Non-Duty-Paid vehicles priced at Rs5.67million. The ASO also seized 923 kilogram of foreign origin fabric worth Rs0.434million whereas it did various types of smuggling items worth Rs0.198million.
The ASO Islamabad impounded 15 vehicles along with different smuggling goods valued at above Rs30.00million during 1st week of December of Financial Year 2017-18. The ASO took into possession 14 offending vehicles priced at Rs13.60million whereas it did two NDP vehicles worth Rs7.7million.
Gadd told CM that, during above first week of December FY17-18, the ASO seized 4,084 yards of smuggling foreign origin fabric valued at Rs1.86million while it did 540 kilogram of smuggling tea priced at Rs0.171million. The ASO Islamabad confiscated 1,349 kilogram of foreign origin auto parts worth Rs0.345million.
During first week of December FY17-18, the ASO took into possession 1,476 kilogram of alloy rims valued at Rs0.260million while the ASO Islamabad impounded various other smuggling goods priced at Rs9.18million. During first week of December FY17-18, the ASO confiscated smuggling items and two NDP vehicles worth Rs21.33million whereas it took into possession offending vehicles worth Rs13.60million, he added.
