ISLAMABAD: Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Vice-President Asif Sakhi on Friday demanded of the incumbent government to immediately withdraw recently imposed port charges ranging from Rs4 to Rs8 million on each container loaded with chemical used for industrial purpose.

He said that the government already directed concerned authorities to clear the containers loaded with chemical used for industry but on the other hand imposed Rs4 to Rs8 million as port charges on each container. He termed the imposition of these heavy charges as illegal and without any valid reason.
