KARACHI: Imports and Exports from Pakistan disturbed after the country wide strike of All Pakistan Goods Transport Association (APGTA) against their demands.
According to the details, All Pakistan Goods Transport Association (APGTA) started strike against the implementation on the law of Axel load, increased licensed fee and other demands on Monday. Due to the strike the import and exports consignment on both Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and Port Muhammad Bin Qasim (PQA) are facing delay.
So far none of the government official tried to hold fruitful talk with the representatives of the All Pakistan Goods Transport Association (APGTA) to resolves their issues for the sake of economic situation which is posing big threat day by day.
The representatives of the All Pakistan Goods Transport Association (APGTA) had already announced that if their demands are not accepted then government will be responsible as they are asking for the implementation over the law which was made by them.
The official of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) as well as Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) after 20 held a joint meeting over the looming crisis by the transporters strike.
FPCCI and KCCI urged the government to resolves the issues of the All Pakistan Goods Transport Association (APGTA) because the shipment is ready but theses cannot be exported until the strike of the transporters pick them up.
Imports and Exports from Pakistan have also decreased as the several vessels on the ports are waiting for the goods to be loaded whereas demurrages are feared.
