ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Customs further extended the date for filing of Goods Declaration (GD) for all IGMs filed between April 07 to May 09, 2020. However, this order shall not be applicable in case any fine or penalty has already been paid by the importer, an order dated May 04, 2020 noted. FPCCI VP Khurram Ijaz played key role in extension for filing of GDs.

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had already extended the time for filing of Goods Declaration (GD) from 10 days of arrival of goods to further 15 days (total 25 days) for all IGMs filed between March 17 and April 07, 2020.

FPCCI Vice President Khurram Ijaz had requested to extend the time for filing of GDs as continued extension in lockdown by the government is causing delays in timely filing of GDs. In a letter to Member Customs on 2 May, FPCCI demanded further extension in date for filing of Goods Declaration (GD).

Meanwhile, with the efforts of KCAA, WeBOC Project (PRAL) has updated the number of days against respective IGMs for which vessels arrived from 7/4/2020 to 09/05/2020 as instructed in Boards letter # CNo.6(2)/2020-CB Dated 04-05-2020. Now KCAA members can file their GDs directly and avail the waiver of IGM de-blocking penalty for the aforesaid period.
