PAIRS: French business confidence remained stable in 2015, survey data from the statistical office Insee showed Friday.
The business confidence index for manufacturers held steady at 99 in January as expected by economists.The balance of opinion on personal production prospects surged by +8 points to 13, which is above the long-term average.
The balance on general production prospects, which represents business managers’ opinion on French industry as a whole, has continuously gone up since October, the Insee said. The index rose by 4 points to -11.The business confidence index in the service sector also remained unchanged in January, at 92. Likewise, the overall business confidence came in at 94, unchanged from December.
