France: Export group unveils excellent 2015 figures

PARIS: Saint Charles Export, a group of Small and Medium Enterprises in Export, have unveiled their latest results.

Sales outside France increased in 2015 largely in value with a positive percentage of 5.22% compared to the previous year, which reflects the overall situation of the fruit and vegetable market in Europe last year. The total amount of exports equates to 728 million Euro. The overall volume stood at 636,871 tonnes for 2015.

Since the creation in 2007 of Saint Charles Exports, shipments and exports have almost doubled, both in volume and value; an increase from 397 million Euro to 728 million Euro (+ 83%) corresponding to a volume increase of 337,007 tonnes to 636,871 tonnes (+ 89%).

Ranking of client countries: by volume, Germany is No. 1, followed by Italy and Switzerland. By value, Switzerland is the No. 1 customer in the sales platform followed by Germany and Italy.
