France forced to apologise to Italy over migrant drug test controversy

PARIS: of violating its borders and sovereignty after French border police officers stormed a clinic on the Italian side of the border to test a migrant for drugs.

“I’m sorry for the misunderstanding,” France’s Budget Minister Gérald Darmanin, who is also responsible for customs, said in an interview with the Italian daily Corriere della Sera.
