PARIS: French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius has said that the national pledges to cut greenhouse gases unveiled in a UN report are a “game changer”.
The foreign minister, who will host a year-end climate summit in Paris, said, “The national contributions are a game changer, and distance us from the worst.” He added that they keep alive the chances of capping global temperature increase under the UN target of two degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit).
