PARIS: In a recent interview with The Nikkei, Manuel Valls, France’s prime minister, said that Japanese and French businesses should collaborate more in expanding into such highly promising emerging markets as Africa by tapping into their respective advantages.
As for the climate change, the Barcelona-born politician said that developed countries including Japan should grant more financial support to developing countries.
The prime minister, who plans to visit Japan from Oct. 3-5, is scheduled to meet not only his counterpart Shinzo Abe but also corporate executives there. He will also accompany top officials of roughly 60 French companies.
