MOROCCO: French shipping line CMA CGM is expanding its sailings to and from Morocco with ten weekly calls to the country’s ports. The move is to designed to increase the container company’s offerings to citrus fruit and vegetable growers as the export season for those products begins and will enhance links with the grower’s key market areas of Europe, Russia and the Middle East.
The new NADOR MED EXPRESS service directly links Nador, located at the center of a clementine-producing region, to the French ports of Port Vendres and Marseille. Customers can then use CMA CGM’s intermodal offer for onward transportation of goods throughout France, Italy and Switzerland.
The new service adds to the shipping lines existing three direct weekly lines (UNKRUSS, AGAX and CISS) which service Europe and Russia, it’s EPIC2 line that offers a direct connection from the Tangier Med hub to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the second largest Moroccan citrus fruits consumers worldwide, and its AGAPOV service which directly connects Morocco to Spain and the South of France.
