French telecom operator Iliad Group records impressive 11.2% annual revenue growth to EUR4.168 billion

PARIS: French telecom Operator, Iliad Group, recorded an impressive 11.2% annual revenue growth to EUR4.168 billion compared to the previous year, topping the €4 billion mark for the first time in the group’s history, one year ahead of its initial target, said the company. The Operator’s net profit rose 4.9% last year boosted by sales from its mobile division as the company progresses towards its goal of capturing 25% of the mobile market.

The company which last year stirred the US telecoms market with its bid to take over T-Mobile, saw its mobile operations being the pillar to its growth, generating revenues of EUR1.614 billion with 28.0% growth during the same period. Illiad’s mobile business with over two million net adds last year alone, boasts 15% market share just three years after launch. Illiad’s fixed business, mainly its ‘Freebox Revolution’ offering, pulled the largest revenue for the group at EUR2.564 billion.
