ANKARA: In the period between January and August 2016, Turkish fruit and vegetable exports to Azerbaijan amounted to 33,500 tonnes, worth 12.84 million dollars, reports Oxu.az.
Compared to the same period in 2015, fruit and vegetable exports from Turkey to Azerbaijan grew by 98%. Vegetable exports were worth 6.36 million dollars, while fruit shipments, mostly citrus (lemons, oranges, mandarins, grapefruits), generated 5.40 million dollars. It is worth noting that in the first eight months of 2015, Turkish fruit and vegetable exports to Azerbaijan reached 12,231 tonnes worth 6.48 million dollars.
