FST adjourns hearing of nine cases filed against FBR

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of nine cases filed against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

A division bench of the FST comprising Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed heard and adjourned eight cases filed by Muhammad Ishtiaq, Ghulam Ali Sahito, Syed Muhammad Rafi, Rao Babar Ali Khan , Abdur Rehman Siddiqui, Muhammad Anwar Javed, Muhammad Rafique Mirza and Tanveer Aslam.

These appellants had filed new application at FST and FBR had yet not filed its response against these petitions carrying complaints about promotion matter at FBR. The tribunal had accepted the petitions for hearing and dated in office for further scheduling of date of hearing.

Another bench of FST heard a single promotion case filed by Faisal Irshad FBR. The appellant had filed this petition in 2015.

FST bench comprising Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi heard the cases and adjourned for further arguments.

It is pertinent to mention that FST’s three divisoin benches would hear over a dozen cases oon Wednesday too. These cases were carrying complaint about promotion and matters waiting implementation at FBR despite being decided by the FST.

FST bench comprising Members, Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi would hear a cases filed by Muhammad Afzal Nadeem about his not-granted promotion.

Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed would hear implementation cases filed by Waseem Iqbal, Anjum Waheed Ahmed and Said Hussain Abbasi.

Another bench comprising Syed RafiqueHussain Shah and and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi would hear cases filed by Faqir Muhammad, Sirajulabdin, Muhammad Khalid, Riaz Ahmed, Khalid Akhtar Abbasi and others.
