FST adjourns hearing of cases filed against FBR

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Monday heard cases carrying promotion, withholding of three increment and implementation complaints against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

FST benches comprising Members Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed heard the complaints filed by employees of FBR.

Syed Rafique Hussain and Dr Nazir Saeed heard Abdul Hakim Khan’s petition on ‘Implementation’, Abida Aslam Rathor’s case on Reversion, Shafqat Rasool Sindhu’s submission on Censure, and Aleem Ahmed’s case about his Seniority.

After hearing brief arguments, the bench directed the counsels to conclude their arguments on next date of hearing and then dated in office hearings on the cases.

The bench also heard cases filed by M Waheed, Anjum Rasheed, Waseem Iqbal, Anjum Waheed, Said Hussain Abbasi and Abdul Sattar.

Waseem Iqbal, Anjum Waheed, and Said Hussain Abbasi had filed complaints on ‘Implementation’ while AbdulSattar had submitted a complaint about ‘Withholding of three increment’.

Meanwhile, another bench of FST, comprising of Ishtiaq Ahmed and M Javed Iqbal Kasi simply dated in office hearing of several other complaints.

The cases were filed by Noor Muhammad, Muhammad Ishtiaque and Aurangzeb. They  had filed these complaints challenging reversion. They had filed their cases in 2016.

Another appellant had filed complaint about implementation by Syed Sultan Abbas. Same bench heard the cases asking the tribunal to ensure implementation over its earlier announced decision which was not yet complied by the board authorities.

The bench was likely to conclude hearings on the said cases in coming weeks. The bench had earlier directed the counsels to prepare for final arguments.
