Ishtiaq Ahmed and Dr Nazir Saeed heard implementation complaint filed by Muhammad Sulaman Javed, promotion complaint filed by Shafqat Mahmud and a matter related to seniority filed by Khalid Mehmood. The bench ‘dated in office’ hearing of the said cases.

Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi also adjourned hearing of a single promotion complaint filed by Ahmed Hussain. Hussain had filed this case in 2012 and was still waiting for the decision.

The FBR had filed objections on all stated complaints. The bench had adjourned hearing since no counsel was appeared in the cases before the tribunal.

Shafqat Mahmud had prayed the tribunal to direct the department to elevate him to higher scale at the board by ordering their promotion as per rules and regulations. He prayed the tribunal to decide the cases at the earliest in order to bring justice to them which had been denied despite serving for years at the department.
