ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Thursday adjourned the hearing of three cases filed against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

A division bench comprising Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Javed Iqbal Kasi heard a review petition filed by Abdul Ghafoor, an employee of the FBR. Abdul Ghafoor had filed the case regarding his promotion and the bench adjourned the hearing for the next month. The bench would hear the review petition seeking directions for the implementation over the FST decision about his promotion.

Another bench of FST comprising Syed Rafique Hussain and Dr Nazir Saeed adjourned hearing of couple of cases filed by Gulzar Shah and Farukh Abbas seeking “counting of previous service” and “regularization” respectively. The bench had to adjourn the hearing since counsels did not appear before the bench on the day.

FST division bench comprising Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi would hear only one case of FBR on Friday (today).

Appellant Adnan Khurshid Cheema had filed this case before the tribunal carrying a matter regarding ‘stoppage of increment’.
