FST benches will hear three cases filed agaisnt FBR today

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) will hear three cases filed against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Thursday (today).

A division bench comprising Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Javed Iqbal Kasi would hear a review petition filed by Abdul Ghafoor, an employee of the FBR, who had filed cases regarding his promotion.

The bench would hear the review petition, seeking directions for the implementation over FST decision about his promotion.

Another bench of FST comprising Syed Rafique Hussain and Dr Nazir Saeed would hear couple of cases filed by Gulzar Shah and Farukh Abbas seeking “counting of previous service” and “regularization” respectively.

Meanwhile, FST adjourned hearing of over a dozen cases on Wednesday. These cases were carrying complaints about promition and matters waiting implementation at FBR despite being dicided by the FST.

FST bench comprising Members, Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi heard a case filed by Muhammad Afzal Nadeem  about his not-granted promotion. The bench adjourned hearing for the next month.

Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed heard implementation cases filed by Waseem Iqbal, Anjum Waheed Ahmed and Said Hussain Abbasi and adjourned the same.

Another bench comprising Syed RafiqueHussain Shah and and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi also adjourned hearing of cases till second week of July filed by Faqir Muhammad, Sirajulabdin, Muhammad Khalid, Riaz Ahmed, Khalid Akhtar Abbasi and others.
