FST division bench postpones hearing of 15 cases filed against FBR

ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Thursday adjourned the hearing of around 15 cases carrying complaints against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

A division bench of the FST comprising members Dr Nazir Saeed and Ishtiaq Ahmed heard the cases in which the appellants had complained that they were being deprived of “departmental promotions” despite serving in the FBR for years. A couple of application were filed for reviewing FST old decisions which were not implemented by the department.

Muhammad Shaukat Hayat, Naveed Ali Khan, Shahzad Amir, Zafar Iqbal, Gohar Ali, Asim Muhammad, Mehboob Ali, Noor Hussain and other had filed these petitions.

A majority of these petitions was filed during 2014 and had been objected by the department on account of service rules and regulations of the FBR.
