ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Friday adjourned the hearing of complaints about ‘implementation’ and ‘promotion’ filed by employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Former bench heard the cases filed by Akbar Ali Shad and Qaiser Khan. The bench adjourned hearing of these cases.

Appellants had filed these complaints against the FBR administration. The bench had adjourned hearing of these cases couple of months ago.

These appellants had also filed submissions about ‘implementation’ and had prayed the tribunal to direct the board on fulfilling the tribunal’s former orders regarding their submissions.

They had complained about board’s lethargy and submitted that the board administration had not taken bench’s order seriously and did not complied with the orders. They asked the tribunal to ensure implementation of its orders.

It is pertinent to mention that a large number of complaints are pending before the tribunal carrying similar substance. Almost all the appellants had asked the tribunal to take strict notice of the board’s weariness about the staff affairs.

The later bench heard another case filed by Nisar Ahmed Bangash. Nisar had filed a complaint about promotion. The department had yet not filed any objections over the matter. Hearing on this case was also adjourned for next week.
