ISLAMABAD: Federal Service Tribunal division bench comprising tribunal’s chairman Justice (r) Syed Zahid Hussain and Member Javed Iqbal Kasi adjourned hearing of a complaint seeking action against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

FST division bench was hearing a case filed by FBR employee, Nawab Khan, for protection of his salary. He had asked the tribunal to decide the fate of his complaint seeking directives for the board not to upsetting monthly payments after initiation of an internal inquiry against him.

Khan had submitted his complaint in 2015. The department had filed objections over the case. After hearing the case for brief, the bench adjourned hearing.

Meanwhile, another bench of FST division bench comprising members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed simply dated in office hearing of cases carrying complaints about seniority and implementation by the FBR.

Appellants M Taimur and M Jamil filed petitions regarding implementation of FST decisions by the FBR. They had been granted their due promotion but yet the FBR had not implemented tribunal’s orders in letter and spirit. They had pleaded the tribunal to ensure implementation over its earlier given decisions.

The bench also heard Shafqat Mahmud’s complaint about ‘promotion’; Khalid Mehmood’s case of ‘seniority’; Ghulafm Ishaq Kiyani and Ataur Rehman’s cases on ‘withholding of two annual increments’.
