FST reserves verdict on service matter filed against FBR

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Tuesday reserved a decision on a service matter filed against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

A division benches of the FST comprising members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed, heard the case filed by Said Hussain Abbasi and reserved the decision.

The bench also heard cases filed by Waseem Iqbal, Anjum Waheed, and Abdul Sattar and adjourned the hearings for further arguments.

Waseem Iqbal, Anjum Waheed, and Said Hussain Abbasi had filed complaints on ‘implementation’ while Abdul Sattar had submitted a complaint about ‘withholding of three increment’.

Ishtiaq Ahmed and M Javed Iqbal Kasi also adjourned the hearing of cases filed by Noor Muhammad, Muhammad Ishtiaque and Aurangzeb challenging reversion. They had filed their cases in 2016.

Another appellant had filed complaint about implementation by Syed Sultan Abbas. The same bench would hear the cases, asking the tribunal to ensure implementation over its earlier announced decision which was not yet compiled by the board authorities.

On the last hearing, the benches had directed the concerned counsels, appellants and defendants, to submit documents and brief on arguments before the tribunal.
