FST seeks reply from FBR on complaints filed by employees

ISLAMABAD: Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Wednesday directed the Federal Board of Revenue to submit details of administrative measures being challenged by some FBR employees before the FST.

The Tribunal had issued these directives while hearing a number of cases filed against the FBR by appellants Shafqat Mahmud, Khalid Mehmood, Ghulafm Ishaq Kiyani, Ataur Rehman, Inamul Haque and others.

The bench heard Shafqat Mahmud’s complaint about ‘promotion’; Khalid Mehmood’s case of ‘seniority’; Ghulafm Ishaq Kiyani and Ata ur Rehman’s cases on ‘withholding of two annual increments’. The bench adjourned hearing till next week after issuing the directives.

The bench also adjourned hearing Inam ul Haque’s appeal on ‘implementation’-the matter pending for decision since 2009; Ejaz Ahmed Bajwa’ appeal on ‘restoration of appeal’; Ghulafm Ishaq Kiyani’s appeal on ‘withholding of two annual increments’ and Atta ur Rehman’s compliant on regarding withholding of allowance.

Appellant Inam ul Haque had filed petitions regarding implementation of FST decisions by the FBR. They had been granted their due promotion but yet the FBR had not implemented tribunal’s orders in letter and spirit. They had
