FST to hear couple of complaints filed by FBR employees today

ISLAMABAD: A division bench of Federal Service Tribunal on Friday (today) will hear couple of promotion cases involving Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). FST DB comprising of tribunal Ishtiaq Ahmed and Dr Nazir Saeed will hear the cases.

These promotion cases was filed by M Asfahani  and Alam Talpur. The appellants ha prayed the tribunal to direct the board on granting them due promotion at the department. The had sought promotion to the BPS-16.

During previous hearing, the bench had asked the counsels from Federal Board of Revenue and appellants, who were also representing FBR employees, to ensure provision of legal decisions on similar matters for assisting the bench to reach a decision on the cases.

Meanwhile two division benches of Federal Service Tribunal on Thursday adjourned hearing on complaints filed against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

FST two division benches, comprising Members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed, and another bench of Ishtiaq Ahmed and M Javed Iqbal Kasi held hearing of complaints through which the appellants had challenged different administrative measures taken by the board administration.

The former bench heard Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani’s case on ‘special allowance’ Aftab Ahmed Razzqi’s case on ‘seniority’; Fakhr-e-Azam’, Sami-ul-Haq, Noor Jamal’s complaints on ‘promotion’; Gulzar Shah’s case on ‘counting of previous service’; Farukh Abbas’s complaint regarding his services ‘regularization’; and Muhammad Arshad Hilali’ petition on ‘seniority’. The bench adjourned hearing for further arguments.

While the later bench heard cases filed by Jan Muhammad Afridi, Rakshanda Aziz Babar and Shaukat Hussain regarding ‘implementation’ and promotion. This bench dated in office hearing of the cases.
