FTO nominates Kashif Anwar as Lahore Coordinator for businesses issues redressal

LAHORE: The Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Asif Mehmood Jah nominated Kashif Anwar President, Friends of Economic & Business Reforms (FEBR) the Honorary Coordinator (Business Liaison) from Corporate Sector, for FTO, Lahore region.

FEBR president Kashif Anwar has expressed his gratitude to the FTO for vesting his trust in him and resolved to serve the community and the national interest.

He said that he would do his utmost to do justice with the responsibility and come to the expectation of the business community and the FTO.

The areas of responsibility for the Coordinator (Business Liaison) will include:-Liaison with local Chambers of Commerce & Industry, trade associations, market association, general trade bodies and other business related organizations;

Liaison with business taxpayers individually or collectively

 Presenting taxpayers problems, issues, conflicts and concerns to the respective

advisors in FTO office and act proactively for immediate redressal of the same.

Search for methods to improve efficiency and integrity of the tax machinery.

Develop and foster relationship of FTO office with the business community

stakeholders and such other entities

Serve as bridge between private sector and FTO offices.

 Seek recommendations, views and comments from business circles regarding any changes, improvements or updation of the existing tax laws, procedures and policies.

Act as positive representative of the taxpayers.

Any other work as may be assigned by the Honourable Federal Tax Ombudsman from time to time.
