AMMON: The government’s oil pricing committee Tuesday kept the prices of fuel derivatives unchanged for the month of March despite a slight rise in the global market, it said in a statement.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade committee, which sets prices on monthly basis according to oil price fluctuations in the global market, said it fixed prices despite a 1 per cent rise in the international markets in February. It said benchmark Brent crude oil rose to $55.16 a barrel in March from an average $53.5 in January. The statement pointed to rising demand at global petroleum markets, prompting varying price hikes.
