NEW DELHI: Fujifilm introduces Instax series of cameras in India. Those who would love to capture selfies with friends and family and instantly print the photograph for sharing will find the mid-budget Fujifilm Instax series of camera quite charming. There are total 4 models available for buying in India, namely Instax Mini 8, Mini 25, Mini 50S and Mini 90. These four products are priced quite effectively with the cheapest one at Rs. 6441 and the costliest at Rs. 10,999. Let’s find out the bunch of features that each of these cameras carry and check if the specifications gel well with the pricing.

This camera comes with a rather compact body design and if you think that you want to buy one for your teenager, there’s 7 different colour options to choose from Blue, White, Pink, Yellow, Black, Raspberry and Grape. This camera generates 62 x 46 mm prints and features 1/60 sec shutter speed, 0.6m focusing range, 0.37x real image finder and needs two AA batteries to operate. We love how the camera has a mechanical brightness adjustment dial that can be used to click photos in various modes. The Instax Mini Camera is priced at Rs. 6441.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 25

This one comes with a bunch of additional features including Automatic Lighten-Darken control, built in electronic flash (Range 0.5-2.5m), LCD indicator, 1/3 sec – 1/400 sec programmed shutter and auto mode. It requires CR2/DL CR2 lithium batteries for power and generates 62 x 46 mm size prints. The Instax Mini 25 camera is priced at Rs. 8045.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 50S

In addition to all the features from Mini 25 such as automatic exposure compensation and LCD indicator, the Mini 50S comes with two shutter buttons for vertical & horizontal shooting, continuous shooting mode, a tripod socket and electronic flash range of 0.6 – 3m. The Instax Mini 25 features a self-timer mode and is priced in India at Rs. 9147.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 90

Designed with the concept of ‘Neo Classic’, the Instax Mini 90 camera has been given the retro look. This one is a combination of the old and the new. There’s a variety of different modes that photographers use, such as -Party, Kids, Landscape, Bulb exposure, Macro, Brightness etc. On the camera’s specs list are a 0.37x real image finder, 400 sec shutter speed, automatic electronic flash and a LCD display. The camera is powered by a lithium battery, comes with a tripod socket and gives the look and feel of a traditional analog camera. You can buy the Instax Mini 90 for a price of Rs. 10,999.

The company’s management is excited about the launch of the new Instant printing cameras and introducing this technology to young Indians. Though the instant print cameras are very popular overseas, they have been slow to catch up in India. With effective pricing and a wide range of styling options to choose from, Fujifilm hopes to make their mark in the nation.

We check the Fujifilm store, where the cameras have been put up for sale, but found that currently they are listed as ‘Out of Stock’. All the cameras come with a one year warranty and want to appeal to the tastes of the target group.
