Gadoon station suffers a marginal loss of revenue during FY2016-17

PESHAWAR: The Gadoon Customs Station Swabi has collected a grand total of Rs94.1million revenue during FY2016-2017 with respect to Rs65.30million during corresponding year FY2015-2016. So Gadoon has to suffer a loss of Rs-28.8million.

The Gadoon received total CD of Rs38.88million on items in the same period whereas it earned Rs1.27million by impounding various goods in the same period of time.

The total amount of Rs33.65million revenue was collected as Sales Tax on goods while Rs7.62million was generated as AIT.

It is important to mention here that Gadoon gives place to the largest industrial zone of KP and a smart industry is working for making profits.

Apart from Textile, Gadoon also has steel-mills and factories making toy goods which are then supplied to different parts of the country.

The largest groups working in the area are Gadoon Textile Mills and Saf Mills which contribute handsome part of revenue to the customs station situated at Gadoon to collect customs duties.
