Galaxy Note 4: Samsung assures of launching new version with 810 snapdragon processor in 2015

KOREA: The Samsung company revealed a new version of the Galaxy Note 4 is coming in 2015 — one that promises better performance via an amped-up processor.

The phone will now include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor, which is the successor to the 805. Snapdragon chips power most smartphones that aren’t made by Apple. The Galaxy 4 will be the first mobile device to feature the new processor.

Oddly enough, the Snapdragon 810 isn’t called out by name in Samsung’s news release, but it will be included in the phone, according to reports.

The new chip will give the phablet enough performance capability that you should be able to wirelessly stream 4K video or play games like you would on a console. You can even — if you’re so inclined — use it as a home PC.

The phone will also boast faster LTE speeds, according to Samsung. It will run 4G LTE-A, which can be up to four times faster than regular LTE.

In our review of the phone, Mashable deemed the Note 4 the best Android phone on the market.

Most observers expect the souped-up Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will debut in South Korea — but it’s still unclear how fast it will branch out to other markets around the world.
